Fuck I hate ……. HEY! STOP-SWAP-THOUGHT
To be perfectly honest…. I hate having lost my freedom! BOOM – now it’s out. Slowly losing sight is F__CKED UP!
I can no longer move freely as I used to. Before, when I could drive a car, I didn’t appreciate that freedom at all.
These days when the Christmas holidays are upon us, there are 1,000 things I would love to do that I can no longer do. Small things that I took for granted.
But hey…. It’s so easy to be drawn down by thoughts like these. To let daily frustrations take you down. Things we can’t change. At this point, I cannot do anything about the fact that I have lost my freedom. I can’t do anything about losing sight!
“Accept all situations as if you have chosen them yourself” – Eckhart Tolle
So I’ve made a decision: to discover every time I unconsciously complain about things that I can’t do anything about. STOOP-SWAP-THOUGHTS!
Today, when I couldn’t do all the things I would have loved to do, I did this. I said:
Morten – what CAN you do? Hmm I can clean the toilets…. But …. YAAAK I don’t wanna do that !!!
Okay, forget the toilets ..
Instead I WALKED to Kolding! Six kilometers to Fitness World, where I trained hard for two hours, and suddenly remembered that I’m the luckiest guy in the world.
I CAN WALK!
I can move and I am strong and healthy! I can train and use my body, and WHOOO that’s something we just forget to appreciate in everyday life.
I suddenly became grateful for what I have, instead of being sorry for what I don’t have!
It’s so easy to get swallowed up by all the things we don’t want in life, and all these “things” have a tendency to overshadowed all the wonderful things WE HAVE.
When I’ve had a day like today, when I first hated everything about my life, and then suddenly discovered all the wonderful things I ACTUALLY HAVE, I’m grateful for that ability. The ability to discover all the good things in life. Everything I before took for granted.
And ohhh – another thing I did today was this: I had a ball in my studio….
Don’t die with your music still in you!
