A life-changing daily practice

5. June 2020

A daily practice for me is meditation. Especially during this time when my everyday life and a time I had imagined should be completely different, suddenly took a 180 degree turn.

In my book, I describe how I practised mindfulness meditation and guided self-talk to change my perspective on many of my daily challenges as legally blind.

I have developed my own guided meditations and one of them I have made available to anyone curious and interested.

Here’s a suggestion:
Decide to spend 20 minutes of your day to try this experiment.

  1. Find a quiet place. Sit in a comfortable chair.
  2. Have an open mind and empty your head of all your old opinions and views.
  3. Be like a child experiencing with a new-beginners mind.
  4. Put on headphones and listen to what my voice says.

The positive benefits of meditation are absolutely overwhelming … You can read millions of articles on the internet – but I invite you to do something else: do your own experiment! Try it for yourself!
